Sri Sarada Devi was the spiritual consort of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa and a central figure in the Ramakrishna Movement. Revered by millions as the embodiment of the Divine Mother, she is remembered for her simplicity, compassion, and silent spiritual strength.
Unlike traditional marriages, their union was entirely spiritual. Sri Ramakrishna worshipped Sarada Devi as Sodashi (the Divine Mother) during a sacred ritual, recognizing her as a source of infinite wisdom.
She served Sri Ramakrishna and his devotees with tireless devotion. After his passing in 1886, she became the spiritual guide and "Mother" to the monastic disciples and householder devotees alike.
“If you want peace of mind, do not find fault with others. Rather learn to see your own faults. Learn to make the whole world your own. No one is a stranger, my child: the whole world is your own.”
Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa was one of the most influential spiritual masters of the 19th century. His life was a living testament to the harmony of all religions and the direct realization of God.
Sri Ramakrishna was unique not because he studied religions intellectually, but because he practiced them in depth. Through years of intense sadhana, he realized the ultimate Truth through multiple paths.
Though he lived simply and spoke in rustic parables, Sri Ramakrishna attracted some of the greatest minds of his time.
Sri Ramakrishna passed away on August 16, 1886, leaving behind a timeless legacy of religious tolerance, universal love, and spiritual realization.
He did not write books; his conversations and teachings were faithfully recorded by his disciple “M.” in the immortal work The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna.
“As many faiths, so many paths.”
Swami Vivekananda was a monk, a philosopher, and a visionary leader. He is best known for introducing the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world and for being the chief disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa.
Narendranath’s life changed profoundly when he met Sri Ramakrishna and asked him directly, “Sir, have you seen God?” The master replied, “Yes, I have. I see Him as clearly as I see you.”
After his Guru’s passing and a period of traveling across India as a wandering monk, he represented Hinduism at the first World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago.
Beginning his address with the words “Sisters and Brothers of America!”, he received a standing ovation and instant global recognition as a powerful voice of universal spirituality.
Swami Vivekananda passed away at the young age of 39 on July 4, 1902, at Belur Math. His birthday is celebrated in India as National Youth Day, inspiring generations of young minds.
“Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.”

Importance of Mother First
Ref: Letters of Swami Vivekananda
Armed with inspiration from the divine trio and spiritual masters, Kripamayi Sharadashrama has embarked upon a multitude of activities with the spirit of seva.
The teachings of Swami Vivekananda emphasize that without the awakening of Shakti, there can be no regeneration of the individual or society. Reverence to the Mother is therefore not symbolic, but the very foundation of spiritual life.
Inspired by this vision, the Ashrama works in diverse areas of education, health, women empowerment, ethical living, and spiritual guidance. Service here is not an activity confined to time or place, but a way of life.
